Here’s a little history of who we are and how we got to where we are at. We would like to give you a brief biography of Eastern Iowa Liberian Association, Inc. It started as a theory which was tested, not in a test-tube or in a graduated cylinder, but in the laboratory of life, and we now have the test results. Our theory envisioned the creation of an independent umbrella organization called Eastern Iowa Liberian Association, Inc. The hope was to create a single body capable of streamlining our position, retooling our priorities, redefining our vision, and aligning our resources, talents, and focus in unique ways that enable us to exert progressive impact on many of our people, both here and in Liberia. Our test results are still being refined, but we are confident that we are now several trials removed from the initial steps. In August 2014, a handful of our citizens boldly took the first initiative to fight against one of the most deadly diseases, Ebola, that broke out in our country, Liberia, for the first time in human history.
